Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to bookings and tattoo services provided at Jaded Tattoo Studios. Please read them before paying a booking fee or attending an appointment.

Important: Your safety depends on complete and accurate information. Tell us about all relevant medical conditions, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding before treatment.

1. Age and identification

You must be aged 18 or over to be tattooed. We do not tattoo anyone under 18, even with parental consent. You must provide valid photographic identification when requested. If suitable ID is not provided, the appointment may be refused and the booking fee may be retained to cover the reserved time and reasonable work already completed.

2. Booking fees

A booking fee may be required to secure your appointment. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, it is applied to the final cost of the booked tattoo. Booking fees are normally non-refundable where you cancel, fail to attend, arrive unable to proceed, provide insufficient notice, or request a substantial change after preparation work has begun.

Any amount retained will be limited to our reasonable direct loss, reserved appointment time and work already completed. If we cancel and cannot offer a suitable replacement appointment, the booking fee will be refunded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

3. Rescheduling and cancellation

Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to move or cancel an appointment. With sufficient notice, we may transfer the booking fee once at our discretion. Less than 48 hours notice, repeated changes, non-attendance or cancellation may result in the fee being retained and a new fee being required.

4. Late arrival

Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may shorten, reschedule or cancel the appointment where it is no longer safe or practical to continue. The booking fee may be retained to cover the reserved time and reasonable loss.

5. Health and medical disclosure

You must give complete, accurate and current information about your health, allergies, skin conditions, medication, blood-borne viruses, immune conditions, heart conditions, bleeding or clotting disorders, diabetes, epilepsy, fainting, recent surgery, infection, scarring tendencies and any other matter that could affect tattooing or healing.

We may ask you to postpone treatment or obtain written medical clearance. This is a safety decision and is not medical advice.

6. Failure to disclose

If you knowingly withhold relevant information or provide inaccurate information, Jaded Tattoo Studios and the person carrying out the tattoo will not be responsible for a complication caused directly by that omission or inaccuracy, to the extent permitted by law. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

We do not tattoo clients who are pregnant. Pregnancy must be disclosed before booking and again before the appointment. If you are breastfeeding, you must tell us before booking. We may postpone treatment or require medical clearance because of infection risk, healing, medication and the practical demands of aftercare.

8. Alcohol, drugs and capacity

You must not attend under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any substance that affects your judgement, consent or ability to follow instructions. We may refuse or stop treatment if we believe you cannot give informed consent or proceed safely.

9. Design approval and changes

You are responsible for checking the final design, spelling, dates, placement, size and orientation before tattooing begins. Once approved and tattooing has started, changes may not be possible. Major changes to the agreed concept may require a new appointment, additional design charges or a new booking fee.

10. Pricing

Quotes are estimates unless confirmed as a fixed price in writing. The final price may change if the design, size, placement, complexity or time required changes. Any material change will be discussed before work continues.

11. Our right to refuse or stop treatment

We may refuse, postpone or stop treatment where there is a safety, hygiene, consent, conduct, legal or professional concern. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

12. Tattoo risks and results

Tattooing breaks the skin and carries risks including pain, bleeding, swelling, bruising, infection, allergic reaction, scarring, pigment change and an unsatisfactory or uneven result. Skin type, placement, lifestyle, health and aftercare can affect healing and appearance. We cannot guarantee an exact healed result or permanence of colour and detail.

13. Aftercare

You must follow the aftercare instructions provided by the Studio or your artist. Contact us promptly if you are concerned about healing. Seek urgent medical advice for signs of serious infection or allergic reaction. We are not responsible for avoidable problems caused by failure to follow aftercare, interference with healing or advice from an unauthorised third party.

14. Touch-ups

If you believe a touch-up may be needed, contact us within 8 weeks of the appointment with clear photographs. Eligibility is assessed after the tattoo has fully healed. Touch-ups required because of poor aftercare, deliberate damage, sun exposure, picking, unsuitable activity or a change of preference may be chargeable. Hands, fingers, feet and other high-wear areas may require paid maintenance.

15. Photography and media

Clinical or record photographs may be taken where reasonably needed to document the service, safety or healing. Promotional use of identifiable photographs or video requires your separate choice on the consent form. You may refuse marketing use without affecting your treatment and may withdraw that permission for future use by contacting us. Withdrawal cannot undo material already lawfully published or printed.

16. Personal and health information

We process identity, contact, consent, appointment and health information to assess suitability, provide services, maintain records and meet legal and insurance requirements. Health information is treated as sensitive. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.

17. Complaints

Please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and try to resolve a concern. Email [email protected] and include your name, appointment date, artist and a clear description of the issue.

18. Statutory rights and governing law

These terms do not limit rights or remedies provided by UK consumer law and do not exclude liability where exclusion is unlawful. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
